Sarasota chamber announces small business award finalists

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for its annual small business awards, which recognize local companies for innovation of product or service, growth and contributions to the community.

The Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business Awards are given in eight categories, including the woman-led business award, which is new this year. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota on Friday, June 25. 

Here are the award categories and the finalists:

  • Small business of the year award: Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., Swor Women's Care, LLC and Team Tony Cancer Foundation.

  • Medium business of the year award: Bird Key Yacht Club, JMX Brands and Sabal Palm Bank.

  • Large business of the year award: First Home Bank, MUV Florida and S-One Holdings Corporation.

  • Nonprofit of the year award: All Faiths Food Bank, Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties and The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center.

  • Community impact award: Dream Large, Tervis Tumbler Company and The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime.

  • Rising star award: Camelot East Village, A Cove Community, Gulfside Bank and SpeedPro Imaging Affinity Solutions.

  • Workforce development and innovation award: Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., Atlantic Mold & Machining Corp. and HBK CPA’s & Consultants.

  • Women-led business award: Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Music Compound and Professional Benefits, Inc.
